BRAGS FOR ST LOUIS CLUB MEMBERS

12-5-2016 by Gail Rutter:

NEW CHAMPION
Do you remember your first home-bred Champion? I have my first………TODAY!!! I'm so thrilled and thankful to be bragging about Amber's Keepsake (aka Trina).
She was shown today at Ingham County Kennel Club (East Lansing, Michigan) by Mike and Kris Sherman and was awarded Winner's Bitch and Best of Breed over a special under Judge Mr. Merle Taylor. Today's win completes her AKC Championship!
Her 4-pt majors came from Judges Dr. Thomas M. Davies and Mr. Larry Adams. She was bred by Barbara Amidon, Greg Harrison, and me and is owned by Barbara Amidon, Karen Schmaltz and me. Her sire is Fletcher (Canadian Select & US Select Excellent CH.HiCliff Free 'N Easy, ROM) and her dam is Amber's X-Factor who is of Barbara Amidon's beautiful Amber breeding times many generations (line bred on the beautiful CH. Amber's Kahlua).
There aren't enough words to express my thanks to everyone who had a part in this. Each of you know how much I appreciate and am grateful to you! This couldn't have happened without every one of you! I'm so very pleased to be an owner AND breeder. My dream of many years has come true today. Thank You ALL from the bottom of my heart!

CH Cimarron's Raging Rampage went Best of Opposite under judge Robert Frost at the Tri State Kennel Club in Joplin Missouri to finish his Grand Championship ( again). Thought he finished in September but I counted wrong so we had to play again. Little brother Ruckus won his bred by class, but did not go any further. Also little "cuz" Legs bounced her way around the ring to second place for her first puppy class loss. Oh well, at least she is having fun.
Dog tired after finishing his show career.
GCH CH Cimarron's Raging Rampage OFA H&E will turn his efforts at being another Cimarron couch potato ( and ransacking the feed bag, if I am not watching ).

10-23-2016 by Steve Dobbins:

Today at the German Shepherd Dog Club of St Louis puppy match, "Legs" ( Cimarrons She's Got Legs She Knows How To Use Them ) went Best of Opposite Puppy under judge Cindy Spencer Bartley .

10-22-2016 by Steve Dobbins:

CH Marquis Cimarron Tough Noogies, "Blah Blah", went Select Bitch at the Sandemac Kennel Club in Springfield, Illinois under judge Ray Filburn for two more points to complete her Grand Championship.
Meanwhile my little and barely eligible six month old puppy bitch "Legs" (Cimarrons She's Got Legs She Knows How To Use Them) went Reserve Winners Bitch from the puppy class. Unfortunately the major broke.

10-16-2016 by Steve Dobbins:

Ch Marquis Cimarron Tough Noogies aka Blah Blah went Best of Breed at the Lawrence Jayhawk kennel club under judge Peggy McIlwaine to edge a little closer to her Grand Championship. Meanwhile at the tender age of six months and five days, Cimarrons She's Got Legs She Knows How To Use Them made me proud by living up to her name by winning her puppy class and bounding her way around the ring to Reserve Winners Bitch on her very first time in the ring. This is at the same show and with the same judge that her grandma Pearl (my dog that was killed a month ago) went Best of Breed from the puppy class twelve years ago. Guess I was kind of hoping that a little bit of history might repeat itself. "Legs" is sired by Joann Richards Joelle's Grizzly who recently took 3rd in American Bred at the GSDCA National.

10-1-2016 and 10-2-2016 by Steve Dobbins:

Cimarron's Raisin' A Ruckus won his Bred By class and went on for Winners Dog and Best of Opposite and his 'little sister' Blah Blah (Marquis' Cimarron Tough Noogies) went Select bitch. Both of these wins were for one point and were under judge Beth Speich at the Rockford- Freeport KC on Saturday October 1.
On Sunday, under Col. Joe Purkhiser, Ruckus received Reserve Winners Dog after winning his BredBy class and Blah Blah again went Select Bitch for one point-this despite their owner hobbling around the ring.

9-23-2016 and 9-24-2016 by Steve Dobbins:

CH Marquis' Cimarron Tough Noogies (Blah Blah) showing her flying trot around the ring during Saturday's German Shepherd Best of Breed competition.
OR, more likely, Blah Blah running for her life while being chased by a one eyed fat man taking punches at @ Kathy Redford….. Blah Blah is out of @ Liana New's Anne Isles Ellie and @ Liz Oster's CH Marquis Stealing The Show.

CH Marquis' Cimarron Tough Noogies (Blah Blah) got Best of Opposite under judge Jon Cole at the Spirit of the Heartland Kennel Club after many, many laps. At this show, it was 3 points for class bitches, plus there were 3 bitches as specials, so this gives her a 4 point major. This gives "Blah Blah" 19 points towards her Grand Champion.

CH Marquis' Cimarron Tough Noogies got a Major Select under judge Patricia Hess at the Rolla Kennel Club. This gives "Blah Blah" 15 points towards completing her Grand Championship. Meanwhile, "Toad", Cimarron's Mayhem Like Me went Winners Dog (but did not go Best of Winners for the crossover major) from the Bred By class for a single point. He now has 8.

9-17-2016 and 9-18-2016 by Steve Dobbins:

CH Cimarron's Raging Rampage went Select Dog under judge Bill Shelton at the Three Rivers Kennel Club. This gives Rampage 24 points. Meanwhile, his little brother "Toad", Cimarron's Mayhem Like Me went Winners Dog and Best of Winners and BEST OF BREED (over three specials including his brother Rampage) from the Bred By class. All this for a single point. He now has 7. Toad beat more GSDs today than his brother did yesterday but only received one point, while his brother got 3. Oh well.

CH Cimarron's Raging Rampage (grandson of my missing dog, Pearl) went Best of Breed (over two other specials) for a major under judge Doug Taylor at the Three Rivers Kennel Club. This gives Rampage 24 points and now he needs a single point to complete his Grand Championship. Meanwhile, his little brother "Toad", Cimarron's Mayhem Like Me went Winners Dog and Best of Winners from the Bred By class for a single point. He now has 6.

TURDIBLES ! GCH CH Cimarron's Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin' OFA, "Charmin"(Puleaze don't squeeze the Charmin!) had a litter of 6 puppies overnight = 3 B/T boys, 0 B/T girls, 1 Sable boy, 2 Sable girls.  The sire of this littter is Joann Richards , Joelle's Grizzly who also sired Faith's April litter. Sucha stud muffin and gigolo!
All 6 seem to be doing well. One of the sable girls is only 8.5 oz and will have to get head of line privileges come feeding time. Charmin seems to be doing fine. She whelped the entire litter with minimal assistance from me (except the sable boy who came out backwards and was stuck for a while)

9-4-2016 by Steve Dobbins:

This past weekend at Purina Farms, CH Cimarron's Raging Rampage picked up 3 more points towards his Grand Championship by going Best of Breed under judge Gloria Kerr and Best of Opposite under judge Del Richards at the two St Louis Dog Breeders shows. This after picking up 5 points in Topeka, KS last weekend. This gives Rampage 21 Grand points ( only 4 more singles to go). Meanwhile, little brother "Toad", Cimarron's Mayhem Like Me went Winners Dog both days at Purina.
Rampage might have gone further if he had not broken into a feed bag and swelled up like a tick. LOL

8-26-2016 and 8-27-2016 by Steve Dobbins:

Ch Cimarron's Raging Rampage went Select Dog from the Best of Breed class of 4 male specials and 4 bitch specials under breeder judge Cyndi Flautt at the German Shepherd Dog Club of Greater Kansas City. He also went Select Dog at the Manhattan and Topeka Kennel clubs under judges Robert Shreve and Sharon Redmer on the day before and the day of the specialty show.

8-21-2016 by Glen Murphy:

Shaden's Rudy's Dream finished his Championship with a 5 point Major in Westminster MD. Rudy went winners dog and Best Opposite to Breed over many very nice specials including the Canadian GV. Rudy is out of Sel CH Forest Knoll When it's Right Hadori and CH Masstana's Mariah The Partys ON. This finished Rudy's Championship with 4 majors and 18 points. Rudy collected 2-4 point majors and 2-5 point majors All at Specialty Shows.
Rudy is bred by Glenn and Kelly Murphy and Gail Stiefferman and is owned by Glenn Murphy and Gail Stiefferman. Lenny Brown was on the leash and handled to perfection once again. Autumn Dugan took him back in for Breed and as always did a great job. Thank you to Judge Mary Ann Imhoff for this nice win.
I guess I can now say "MY DOG WON AT WESTMINSTER" :>)

Ch Marquis' Cimarron Tough Noogies (Blah Blah) went Select Bitch both days at the Kishwaukee Kennel Club under judges Merle Taylor and Carl Liepmann

7-9-2016 & 7-10-2016 by Steve Dobbins:

Ch Marquis' Cimarron Tough Noogies (Blah Blah) went Best of Breed and her partner in crime, Cimarron's Raisin' A Ruckus, went Winners Dog from the Bred By class both days at the SE Iowa Kennel Club under judges Roger Hartinger and Paula Hartinger.

6-18-2016 by Glenn Murphy:

Shaden's Rudy"s Dream went WD and BOW for his third Major. Rudy was bred by Glenn and Kelly Murphy and Gail Stiefferman. Sunday’s show finished on a real high note, when I showed my champion bitch ‘Blah Blah’ in Best of Breed. I was somewhat nervous about showing her since she has not been shown since finishing her championship nearly two years ago. I was really proud of her as she sailed around the ring looking so special in my eyes. She almost made me look good showing her. ‘Blah Blah’ is CH Marquis’ Cimarron Tough Noogies out of Kent Boyles / Liz Oster‘s Ch Marquis’ Stealing The Show (Oscar) and Liana New's Ellie. When I got this pup from Liana, she said to name her something like, "Marquis blah, blah, blah"(Liana likes the term blah blah blah), so Blah Blah became her name. Blah Blah got a major select at this show with 20 bitches, her first time out as a special.

I would like to brag about my "Min Min", CH Mari-Fiori's Black Eyed Susan RN CGC, who placed 3rd in the 7-9 yr. Veteran Class at the 2015 GSDCA National at Purina Farms held in Gray Summit, MO. (Beautiful photo taken by Valerie Harrington) She is owned by Judy James, Tiffany Bartley, Carla Simmons & co-owned/& bred  by Marilee Wilkinson. Minnie won the Am Bred Class at the 2009 National in Columbus, OH shown by Joann Corbin. Otherwise, Minnie has been handled thru her conformation shows by the inimitable Tiffany Bartley. Minnie is by Chablis High Demand The Stylistic out of Mari-Fiori's I Got 'Tude.

I would like to brag about my ole guy, Butkus, GCH CH Cimarron's I Won't Back Down TC, placing 4th in the 9 year and over Veteran Dog class at the GSDCA National at Purina Farms under judge Dr Robert Kish.  I believe Butkus was the second oldest dog competing at the GSDCA National Specialty.  Butkus was nicely handled by Margaret O'Neil.  Butkus was sired by Karen Hynek's Ch Jokare's Kocoum ROM OFA (Koko) and my girl Dancer, Cimarron's Nightlife ROM OFA, both of whom were the parents of my 8 - Champion litter born March 21, 2005.

10-13-2015 by Steve Dobbins:

I would like to brag about my three dogs getting their temperament certification at the GSDCA National temperament test in Gray Summit, MO.  Now adding the "TC" suffix to their names are:  CH Cimarron's Tokyo Rose TC ROM;  GCH CH Cimarron's I Won't Back Down TC; and GCH(bronze) CH Cimarron's Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin' TC OFA.

Today WAS pretty much a repeat of yesterday for me, EXCEPT for one minor detail. Cimarron's Mayhem Like Me did not progress any further past his BredBy class. However, his mom, GCH CH Cimarron's Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin, again pouted herself around the ring to pull off a 4 point major Select at the Jefferson County KC under judge Bill Usherwood. The Minor Detail is that these were the last points she needed for her Bronze Grand Championship! Hopefully, the reason she has been pouting is because she should be about 5 weeks pregnant. I will probably show her for the remaining shows that she is entered in just because I am not 100% sure about her AKC point total. (should be at 101 ). THEN, CHARMIN (ie the Little Shit) WILL OFFICIALLY BECOME MY BRONZE COUCH POTATO !

5-2-2015 by Steve Dobbins:

Not quite a repeat of yesterday, as Cimarron's Mayhem Like Me did not progress any further past his BredBy class. However, his mom, GCH CH Cimarron's Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin, pouted around the ring and did manage to pull off a 5 point major Select at the Spirit of the Heartland KC under judge Ray Filburn. Only 3 more points to go for the Bronze! Hopefully, the reason she is pouting is because she is about 5 weeks pregnant.

5-1-2015 by Steve Dobbins:

Where have I heard this before. ( sounds like a rerun from last weekend). Cimarron's Mayhem Like Me (Toad) went reserve winners dog from his BredBy class at the Rolla KC in Gray Summit, MO under judge Eric Liebes. And again, his mom, GCH CH Cimarron's Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin ( aka Charmin or the Little Shit) got another major Select towards her Bronze Grand Championship. 4 more points done and 8 ta go! Toad is going to be king of the reserves, if he keeps this up....

4-27-2015 by Steve Dobbins:

This past weekend (starting Thurs) was a less than stellar show weekend. Cimarron's Mayhem Like Me ( Toad ) went reserve winners dog from the BredBy class for two out of the three days he was entered. While his mom, GCH CH Cimarron's Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin' ( aka 'Charmin' from "please don't squeeze the charmin") went Select bitch for all 4 days she was entered. This was only worth one point each day towards her second level Grand Championship, but it was 4 more points. She now has 88 points towards her Bronze and only 12 more to go...

2014 has started out as a busy year for Teko.  We trained through the winter and it paid off.  He received two qualifying scores (79 for third place and 88 for second place) March 15 at the Greater St Louis Australian Shepherd Club herding trial at Purina Farms to earn his Started title (STD) with ASCA (Australian Shepherd Club of America).  Thanks to Judges Rachel Vest and Cheryl Padgett, and of course Becky our trainer.

002         004

The following weekend, again at Purina Farms, he was first in his class on A course sheep both days with back to back scores of 89 under Judge Terry Workman.  That gave him the required 11 Qs to earn his Master Sheep A course title.  Icing on the cake that weekend was going High in Trial for A course sheep both days.  Thanks to trainer Becky Henson….. her patience and hard work are truly a blessing for us.

006                              008

We also resumed our Nosework training and as it happened, a trial was being held in Centralia on April 18.  We got our entry in just under the wire.  It was a great day weather-wise, cool and cloudy with a slight breeze to “direct” the scent to the dogs.  Thanks to judges Jon Sarabia and Taylor Haywood, and Certifying Official Karin Damon for their efforts. Teko's times were: exterior search 0:58.31 - container search 1:06.28 - vehicle search 2:00.64 - and interior search 0:56.84.   Four successful finds = a NW1 title.

Today and yesterday, my GCH CH Cimarron's Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin' went Select bitch (both majors) for 6 more points towards her bronze Grand Champion. Meanwhile, her son, Cimarron's Mayhem Like Me took a major reserve from the Bredby class on Saturday.

3-1-2015 by Steve Dobbins:

Today, my CH Cimarron's Raging Rampage got a major select to finish out what turned out to be a kind of weird show weekend. It started out by completely unloading my Odyssey minivan Thursday evening because I had to take it in Friday for a recall. Most of Friday was spent at the Honda dealership taking care of two recalls plus a couple of other issues that included a broken spark plug and a burnt out coil pack. I was having serious doubts that I would make the show between the Honda problems and the incoming winter storm.

Got home from the dealership late Friday afternoon, spent about 2 hours reloading the van and made a reservation for a motel nearby to the show site for Saturday nite because I felt my normal traversing back and forth to gray summit would be too dangerous. Got up at 4am sat morn to drive to the show, did absolutely nothing with either of my two males. I was especially appreciative of the ringside comments I received on Saturday as I wheezed around the ring in Best of Breed with my special. It seems that my peanut gallery consisting of Chris Kimerer, Tiffany Bartley, and Judy DeRousse were amused by the fuzz that had appeared on my face since they saw me judge a month ago. I told them that I saw my shadow and knew there was going to be 6 more weeks of winter-so I needed the fuzz to help me keep warm.

After enjoying a late lunch with Anita Clouse, Valerie Taylor, and Dave Berry, I went back to the motel watched the snow come down and wondered why I had ever entered this show. I figured I would probably wake up sunday morning and see a foot of snow and find out the sunday show had been cancelled. but that did not happen-although they did delay the start of the show by one hour. The snow cleared the St Louis area around daybreak. MODOT had done a pretty decent job clearing the roads, So the 12 mile trek to the show site was uneventful ( although I did hear of problems further west on I-44). My Bredby dog went second of two again, but at least his brother ( who now resembles a blood gorged tick ) managed to get a major select under judge Walter Sommerfelt.

The trip home was uneventful, as most of the back roads I took were cleared except for a 5 mile stretch of pockets of slush on one road.

Even the paved county road I live on was cleared. Everything was fine until I pulled into my driveway and got STUCK.

CH Mari-Fiori's RamjeTeko of PrairieHome  HIC   HT   ORT   CGC   JHD  PT HSAs finished up the 2014 herding season with three more qualifying scores towards his Master Started A course title. No placements either Friday November 14 or Sunday November 16, but Saturday November 15 he was tied for first but received second place honors.   Thanks to RottiEwe Farm for hosting another fabulous event, the GSDCWKY and SLHC for sponsoring the trials, and Judges Sue Haase, Rick Hardin, and Scott Lucken.  The weather did not cooperate and we even got work/play in the snow on Sunday.  Teko was expertly trained and handled by Becky Henson...we couldn't have done it without her!!!

Wonderful weekend at GSD National A course herding trial at RottiEwe Farm in Wright City Missouri. Lots of exceptional work was done by exceptionally talented GSDs and of course those “other” breeds.
CH Mari-Fiori’s RamJeTeko of PrairieHome picked up two more legs towards his Started A course Master title with a fourth place finish Saturday

Teko Herding Sat

and a third place finish on Sunday.

Teko Herding Sun

He was Reserve High Scoring GSD on Saturday, and High Scoring GSD on Sunday. Hard to believe, but ...we tied both days with the same team, squeaking by for today’s HIT by three (3) seconds. We couldn’t have had better company jockeying for that honor. Scout, owned and handled by Sarah Delone, was great competition and a beautiful black and tan girl.
Thanks to judges Rusty Jeffers and Darlene Laurin, and we couldn’t have done it without the expect guidance of handler Becky Henson.

Super herding weekend for CH Mari-Fiori’s RamJeTeko of PrairieHome…..he’ll be adding more letters after his name.  He received a qualifying score on Saturday September 13 from Judge Debbie George to give him his HSAs title (Herding Started A course/sheep).  Judge Peggy Richter awarded another qualifying score on Sunday September 14 which will go towards his HSAs Master title.  The trial was sponsored by the German Shepherd Dog Club of West Kentucky, so his two green ribbons earned him the additional honor of top scoring GSD at the trial.  (Another GSD was entered, but failed to qualify either day.)

Thanks to Lars and Sandra Holmberg for letting us take over their Whiskey Creek Farm for the weekend, and endless thanks to trainer/handler Becky Henson for persevering with Teko and working on his goober-ness.

This past weekend was a nice success for my dogs.  On Saturday, Cimarron's Mayhem Like Me (Toad) won his Bred By class and went on for Reserve Winners Dog ( 1 dog short of a major ) and his older brother (by 20 minutes), CH Cimarron's Raging Rampage, went Best of Breed for a major his first time out as a special.
On Sunday, Toad again won his Bred By class, but this time went on for Winners Dog and Best of Winners and two points and Rampage again took Best of Breed for his second major in pursuit of his Grand Champion title.  I would not have been too upset if Toad would have beat Rampage for his major.
These wins were at the Three Rivers Kennel Club shows at Gray Summit.  Saturday's judge was Robert Caswell and Sunday's judge was Steven Gladstone.

Cimarron's Mayhem Like Me (aka Toad) won his bred by exhibitor class and went on for Reserve Winners Dog under judge Darle Heck at the Burlington, IA KC.  This was a major reserve and Toad becomes the second qualifier for his dam's ( GCH CH Cimarron's Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin' ) potential ROM.  His brother, CH Cimarron's Raging Rampage was the first.

7-30-2014 by Steve Dobbins:

GCH CH Cimarron's Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin'  went Select bitch to Kent Boyles bitch Rumor Has It all four days in Wisconsin this past Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.  Charmin's selects were under judges Thomas Coen and Charles Olvis at the Waukesha KC shows; and under judges Brian Meyer and Barbara Alderman at the Burlington, WI KC shows.  This puts Charmin at 66  Grand Champion points, about 2/3 of the way to her second level (Bronze, I think) Grand CH.

6-3-2014 by Steve Dobbins:

On Sunday, both Toad and Blah Blah won their Bredby and Open classes respectively, and then both went on for Reserve Winners under judge Louis Palarik at the Mississippi Valley KC.

Missed it by 'that much'.

On Monday, June 02, 2014, Cimarron's Mayhem Like Me (Toad) again won his Bredby class, but this time went on for Winners Dog and Best of Opposite under judge William Stebbins at the Mississippi Valley KC. These were Toad's first two points.

Toad got his name when as a youngster, he would tinkle if you approached him.

As the old saying went, you did not want to get peed on by a Toad, cuz it might give you warts.

Last weekend, I was bragging because I finished Toad's brother, Rampage.

Toad and Rampage are out of my GCh Ch Cimarron's Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin'

and Cimarron's King of Wishful Thinking.

Also on Monday, Marquis' Cimarron Tough Noogies (code name Blah Blah) won her Open class and went on for Winners Bitch and Best of Winners.

This puts her point total to 16 to finish her championship.

She was expertly (LOL) owner handled for all of her points.

Blah Blah got her call name when Liana New was telling me to name her something like Marquis' blah blah blah.

So Blah Blah it was!

She is out of GCh Ch Marquis Stealing the Show and Liana's Anne-Isle's Ellie.

Blah Blah becomes my 20th champion here at Cimarron.

I don't know where to start except that this year's national was fun, exciting and it seems like the entire week flew right by! "Caballo" Is now Select Excellent, Grand Champion, Marquis' Horse With No Name, OFA.

Caballo was absolutely... gorgeous with the best handler ever and his other mommy Liz Oster. Liz took off his couch potato fat over the course of a month and conditioned him every day. Those two are definitely fun to watch in the ring. He loves her and does his favorite tricks for her in the ring and anywhere else he can get by with it. I could not have been prouder of the two of them. THANK YOU SO MUCH LIZ!! This show was very special to me...

Caballo is a very special dog. He's out of:

"Oscar" Best in Show, 2009 #1 Futurity/Maturity Sire, Multiple Group Winning, 2007 Canadian Grand Victor, 2X Canadian Select Champion, 2007 U.S.

Maturity Victor - Best In Maturity, 4X Select Excellent, American Grand Champion Marquis' Stealing The Show, ROM, TC, OFA AND "Kida" 2007 Futurity Victrix, Best In Futurity, 2008 Maturity Victrix, Select Champion Marquis' Blonde Bombshell, OFA

Caballo is owned by: Liz Oster, Daniel W. New, Judy DeRousse and myself.

Oscar, Kida and Caballo were all bred by Liz. Caballo was handled by Liz. I think it's truly awesome that not only did she breed his awesome parents and him but she also handled him to perfection. That is absolute true knowledge, talent and love Oscar and Kida were Liz and my heart dogs.

Thank you again to Valerie Harrington for the gorgeous picture. You do an awesome job and work your tail off to take care of the crazy dog show people like us!

Yep, this is long ... there aren't enough words to describe how exciting this past week was and to show how much I appreciate what Liz has done for us and the dogs.

Caballo is back home with his daddy... laying on the couch... eating bon bons, watching General Hospital and playing with his babies. I think he misses his other mother quite a bit but he'll see her allot!

On or around May 12th.. Liz Oster calls me up and says, "Hey ... Let's get Caballo out and see what he looks like, enter him in the three Michigan shows."

I choked on my coffee and looked to my left and Caballo was laying on the couch next to me, eating bon bons and watching General Hospital. I'm thinking .. she's gonna kill me, this dog hasn't been shown in a week shy of a year and his life has been what I just said... doing nothing but hanging out and growing up. So, Dan and I get to work. Bathing, nails, exercise as best as we could and cutting out his bon bons completely. He wasn't necessarily happy about no bon bons <G>.

Fast forward to the shows - What an incredible weekend Caballo and Liz had in Michigan!!! They both had a blast playing in the ring again!

May 31 - Joan Fox - Best of Breed

June 1 - Charles Mardecz - Best of Breed June 1 - Brenda Newby - Best of Breed

What a fantastic weekend and as always Liz did an incredible job with him, Liz is hands down the best and Caballo is her buddy and loves her!! Thank you Joan, Charlie and Brenda for the awesome wins!!! The clubs put on an excellent show and was a great site. There were allot of people there and it was great fun to get out!

This past weekend (5/24/2013) at the Bloomington IL shows, Cimarron’s Wheel in the Sky, aka Petey, won his Ambred class and went on for a major Reserve Winners Dog under judge Robert Frost.

No points, but Petey becomes the 4th qualifier and the final link for his dam’s Register of Merit title.

Julie Foster-Hess handled the little red dog for his almost win.

Petey now joins the company of his sister, GCH Cimarron’s Lovin’ Touchin’ Squeezin’ aka Charmin or the Little Shit, his brother CH Cimarron’s Any Way You Want It (Journey), and his other brother CH Cimarron’s Don’t Stop Believin’, aka Dingleberry to complete their dam’s ROM.

Mari-Fiori’s RamjeTeko of PrairieHome packed his “A” game and we headed for the Spirit of the Heartland KC show at Purina Farms Saturday May 4, 2013.  Teko finished his conformation career with a 3-point major win under Judge Bill Edwards against some very tough competition in the AmBred class.  It was still tense for Winners’ Dog, but Teko strutted his stuff around the ring and took WD.  Always the gentleman, he graciously relinquished Best of Breed to a cute little bitch who is just starting out, and took Best of Opposite Sex home with him instead.  Many many thanks to Julia Foster-Hess, and mom Fran Foster, for putting ALL of Teko’s points on him.  He finishes in less than one year, with four majors (3-4-3-3) and a 2-pointer last summer.  Next up for Teko is AKC Started Sheep-A Course, and the fall ASCA trials.

Today, at the Spirit of the Heartland KC, Marquis Cimarron Tough Noogies, aka Blah Blah, won her 9-12 puppy bitch class and then went on to win Winners Bitch, Best of Winners, and Best of Breed !

This was Blah Blah's first major to go along with a couple of singles.  Her win today was owner handled under judge Bill Edwards.  Many thanx to Judy McDowell for giving me an X-tra Large Can of WHOOP-ASS soda to help me clear any obstacles in my way today.    MAY the fourth be with you.

Another successful herding weekend for Mari-Fiori’s RamjeTeko of PrairieHome.  He had back-to-back qualifying runs Saturday and Sunday, April 27 and 28, 2013 for his Pre-Trial Test on sheep at the AKC Herding Trial sponsored by the German Shepherd Dog Club of West Kentucky at RottiEwe Farm in Wright City, MO.  Thanks to Judges Joyce Norris and Mary Belle Adelman, Tracy Parciak his trainer and handler, “videographers” John Morissette and Meredith Goldenhersh, and all my fellow students for their encouragement.  No tip-toeing around the mud puddles for Teko this time…..What a dog!

4-22-2013 by Steve Dobbins:

This past weekend, my ‘little’ boy, Cimarron’s Raging Rampage, moved out of the puppy classes and into the Bred By Exhibitor class.  He started this new class by going Winners Dog and Best of Winners on Saturday under Teddy McDowell at the Waterloo KC.

On Sunday, he again took Winners Dog out of the Bred By class under judge Laurie Telfair.  The judge later mentioned that she thought about giving him Best of Breed over a special if he had looked a little more mature.  Oh well, I guess the puppy fat has not left him.  Rampage’s birthday was this past Friday, one day before mine.

Meanwhile, back in the puppy class, Marquis Cimarron Tough Noogies, aka Blah Blah, won her puppy class both days and went Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite both days.  Blah Blah now has two points and a major reserve from the puppy class,  and Rampage also has two points and a major reserve from the puppy class, to go along with his two points from the Bred By class.

4-8-2013 by Steve Dobbins:

Hi all,

Just a few small brags from Kansas.

On Friday, April 5, 2013, Cimarron's Raging Rampage won his 9-12 puppy dog class and went on for Winners Dog and Best of Opposite under judge Pat Laurans at the Hutchinson KC.  Rampage beat a couple of dogs (including his uncle) for his first point.

Cimarron's Don't Stop Believin' won his bred by class and got Reserve winners Dog.

Marquis Cimarron Tough Noogies won her 9-12 puppy bitch class and also got reserve at this show.

On Saturday, April 6, 2013, Cimarron's Don't Stop Believin' again won his bred by class and went on for Winners Dog under judge Stephen Bloom at the Salina KC.  This was Dingleberry's last point toward his championship!

So he is now Champion Dingleberry!

On Sunday, April 07, 2013, Cimarron's Raging Rampage again won his 9-12 puppy dog class and went on for Winners Dog, and Best of Winners under judge Robert Vandiver at the Wichita KC.

This was Rampage's second point.

I am so happy to have Dingleberry finished.

He is not a large dog, so when he was in competition with other dogs, the other dog would frequently get the nod over him due to size. He got his first major from the puppy class where small is more easily forgiven.  His last 12 points have come from Bred By which can be a challenge also.

Dingle was also one of the dogs in my Ford Ranger when I rolled it last fall while trying to avoid a deer.

The two dogs and I walked away from the accident, but I do feel that Dingle's gait was affected by the roll.

His nephew, Rampage, just ruined his chances by becoming my next bred by champion, when he took points from the puppy class.

I know many of you have seen the last sentence in my signature line about Kansas.

What can I say? My friends ( or lack of, LOL) let me down.

At least, I was not very close to those nasty Kansas Jayhawks.

( it is a Missouri Tiger - Kansas Jayhawk thing )

This past Saturday, 3-30-2013, Cimarron’s Don’t Stop Believin’, aka Dingleberry,

This gives Dingleberry 13 points with both of his majors.

Meanwhile, at the same show, his nephew, Cimarron’s Raging Rampage went

Reserve Winners Dog from the 9-12 puppy dog class.
Rampage then went on for Best Puppy and Puppy Group III.

Also, Marquis Cimarron Tough Noogies, aka Blah Blah went Winners Bitch and

Hi,

Today, I would like to brag about NOT getting any points, but I am doing the happy dance, anyway. Cimarron's Raging Rampage won his 9-12 puppy dog class of three, and then proceeded to rampage around the ring to a major reserve with Tom Warren hanging on for dear life.

Then, my new little girl, Marquis Cimarron Tough Noogies, aka Blah Blah, also won her 9-12 puppy bitch class of three, and then proceeded to glide to a major reserve. Blah Blah is an Oscar daughter out of Ann-Isle's Ellie.

Rampage is son of my GCh Cimarron's Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin', aka Charmin and a little back yard incest with Cimarron's King of Wishful Thinking.   Today's puppy major reserves were earned at the Columbia KC under judge Richard Lashbrook.

Charbo-Tanbark's Trinket v Hillside finished her championship at Columbia KC on Sunday under judge Richard Lashbrook. She won majors at Specialty & Allbreed rings with a bunch of  owners rooting for her. Bobbi Schieffelbein bred her & her owners are: Chris Kimerer, Carol Michael, Tiffany Bartley, & Judy DeRousse. Pretty good weekend in Columbia for Mari-Fiori’s RamjeTēko of PrairieHome HIC(s) HT(s) ORT(b) CGC.   On Saturday March 9, Tēko won his AmBred class to compete for Winners’ Dog under Judge Linda Robey.  However, he lost to great competition from Mari-Fiori's Da 'Tara Chablis Stylistc (who is now an unofficial Champion).  Congrats to Nicky!

Sunday March 10, Tēko again won his class under Judge Richard Lashbrook.  From there he went on to take Winners’ Dog for three points, and then proceeded to take Best of Opposite in the Best of Breed competition.

Many thanks again to Team Foster, Julie and Dannie, for great work with Tēko.  And a big THANK YOU!! to the “lady in the pink cap” who got tapped to handle Teko for his BOS win.

On Saturday, under judge Teddy McDowell at the St Joseph KC, GCH Cimarron's Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin (Charmin) went BOS over two other bitch specials, and today, under breeder judge Joann Paulk, she went select over one other bitch special.  Also today, Charmin's son, Cimarron's Raging Rampage won the puppy class and went on for reserve Winner's Dog. During the picture taking, the judge mentioned that if had been more confident, Rampage would have won Winners Dog!

BRAG:  Mari-Fiori's Da 'Tara Chablis Stylistc received a 4 point major reserve at the St. Charles Show the weekend of Jan 26, 27, 2013. "Nicky" needs 2 more points for his Championship. His Sire is Multiple US Select & Can Sel. Woodside's High Voltage, OFA and out of Mari-Fiori's I Got 'Tude. Breeder/Owner Marilee Wilkinson (Mari-Fiori's Shepherd's)

1-27-2013 by Steve Dobbins:

Hi all,

Just want to brag that today at the St Charles KC show, my bredby dog, Cimarron's Don't Stop Believin', aka Dingleberry, won his class and went on for winners dog and a major, and then went on for best of winners under judge, Del Richards.

This was "Dingle's" second major and he now has 12 points.

Meanwhile, at the same set of shows, his sister, Ch Cimarron's Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin', aka Charmin, went Best of Opposite and her third major under yesterday's judge, Don Rogers, and she went select for her fourth major under today's judge, Del Richards.

I believe this gives her the necessary requirements for her Grand Championship.

Also, my new puppy, Marquis' Cimarron Tough Noogies, aka Blah Blah, won her puppy class of three both days.

Not a huge accomplishment, but these were Blah Blah's first shows.

I even managed to gait her both days without her going between my legs and tripping me up.

When Liana New was making her suggestions towards naming my new puppy, she said name her something like Marquis' Blah Blah Blah, so Blah Blah it is! LOL.

Liana likes to use the words blah blah blah when she talks, so whatever you do, do NOT kid her about it! LOL

Today under Judge Mrs Barbara Dempsey Alderman in Pendleton SC our Black bitch "Masstana's Mariah The Partys On" went winners bitch for her last two points. (pending AKC approval) She has won in both rings along the way..  Mariah is out of Ch Sirius Park's Kojack Bihari and Ch Masstana's Haley's Comet.  She has OFA'd good hips and normal elbows and has her GSD temperment test.

I want to thank First of all John and Nancy Vaught for trusting me with one of their babies.  Then I come to Elizabeth Stiefferman who put Mariah's first Major on her at 6 months and two weeks old.  Elizabeth trained her and put most of her points on her.  Lenny Brown finished off the last three points.

Mariah is owned by Glenn and Kelly Murphy and Gail Steifferman

Thanks to everyone who encouraged me along the way and all the advice I have received (some I took and some I didn't)  LMAO

Nick is co-owner with Kris and Frank Fasano, two of the nicest people you would ever know.  We were not able to go to these shows, but Kris and Frank said Nick needs to go, so off he went and boy are we glad he did.  Nick was shown to Jack Newton on Saturday going Winners Dog and Best of Winners for a Major and on Sunday to Twyla Miner going Winners Dog again for another major. Nick came home adding two more majors to his total needing only two points to finish his championship. Thank You Diane Brown for the great job show Nick at these shows.

The first weekend in May we headed to Forest City, Arkansas to show Nick.  Thank you Judge Dave Rinke for the 5 point major reserve.

Heading home the next weekend we showed here at home at the G.S.D.C. of St. Louis, our Nick went Winners Dog, Best of Winners and Best of Breed over Select Champions for 5 points to complete his Championship. Thank You Judge: Tony Monk. What an honor. Thank You Elizabeth Stiefferman for showing Nick, he loves you so.

Taking the summer off. In the fall Greg brought out another Val son, Forest Knoll's Castaway v Hadori who showed in September at Purina Farms going Reserve Winners Dog to a three point major.  YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THIS WIN GAVE OUR BEAUTIFUL: CH. HADORI'S WHEN IT'S LOVE her R.O.M. (Register of Merit).

In October we headed to the GSDCA Nationals with our Ch. Nick,  and Vals other Champion son: Ch. Hadoris Secret Agent 007 v Forest Knoll "Dalton" owned by Gary & Patty Szymczak and Greg Harrison was also headed to the nationals to show themselfs of in Best of Breed.

12-2-2012 by Steve Dobbins:

This past weekend up in Kankakee, IL, my Ch Cimarron's Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin' (aka Charmin) got two major Selects to help her Grand Championship. They were earned under judges Joe Purkhiser and Sharon Redmer.

11-16-2012 by Judy McDowell:

Mari-Fiori’s RamjeTeko of PrairieHome is now a Canine Good Citizen.  Teko was evaluated by Dannie Rosemann at the October 28, 2012 GSDC St Louis B Match.

10-22-2012 by Steve Dobbins:

Cimarron's Don't Stop Believin' (Dingleberry) won his BredBy class and went on for Winners Dog and his ninth point under judge Dave Bolus at the Illinois Capitol KC.  At the same show, his sister, Ch Cimarron's Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin' (Charmin) went select for two more grand champion points.

10-21-2012 by Steve Dobbins:

Cimarron's Mayhem Like Me won his 6-9 puppy class and went on for Reserve Winners Dog under judge Robert Frost at the Illinois Capitol KC.  This was Mayhem's third show as he is only 6 months and 2 days old.

10-19-2012 by Steve Dobbins:

Cimarron's Don't Stop Believin' ( Dingleberry) won his Bredby class and went on for Winners Dog and his eighth point under judge William Usherwood at the Mattoon KC.

9-30-2012 by Steve Dobbins:

Hi All,

I just received word that Cimarron's Any Way You Want It went Winners Dog from the AmBred class, and then went on for Best of Winners for his second major under judge Lydia Hutchinson at the Hot Springs KC.  Julia Foster Hess has worked hard to put all the points on Journey (except one) to finish his championship.  Journey becomes the second champion and third qualifier for his dam Ch Cimarron's Tokyo Rose and his sire Ch Cimarron's Refugee.
But wait, there's more......

Apparently, not only did he take Best of Winners, but also took Best of Breed over a special.

Then he took a Group IV under group judge Paula Hartinger.

So that became even more special as the way he finished.

09-16-2012 by Glenn Murphy:

7-15-2012 by Steve Dobbins:

Hi All,
Just want to brag that my boy, Cimarron’s Any Way You Want It, aka ‘Journey’, won his AmBred class on
Friday the thirteenth and went on for Winners Dog and Best of Winners for his first major.
Journey was professionally shown by Julia Foster-Hess at the Blackhawk KC under judge James Maloney.
At the same set of shows, his uncle, Ch Cimarron’s I Won’t Back Down, aka ‘Butkus’, went Best of
Opposite all three days to a bitch shown by Kent Boyles.
The judges were Jim Maloney, Polly Smith, and Robert Vandiver.
Butkus got two more majors this weekend to go along with the three he already had.
This was more than enough to complete the necessary requirements for his Grand Championship. I finished Butkus from the Bred By class last October and he became the eighth champion out of a litter of ten.

The Columbia (MO) Canine Sports Center held its second NACSW (National Association of Canine Scent Work) Odor Recognition Test (ORT) (birch) Saturday July 14, with a total of 31 dog/handler teams entered.  The judge was Ron Gaunt, one of the co-founders of NASCW.  JMac’s RB Rocket J Shepherd (Rocky) finally located the correct box in a time of 2:21:57 after checking out everything else.  Almost embarrassing, considering the run time is limited to three minutes.  Mari-Fiori’s RamjeTeko of PrairieHome (Teko) performed much better, and smashed the correct box with his paw in a time of 0:16:70.  Both boys are now eligible to compete in their first Nosework trial at a future date.

7-8-2012 by Judy McDowell:
Mari-Fiori’s RamjeTeko of Prairie Home (bred by Marilee Wilkinson) had a very successful weekend in Sedalia MO at the Jefferson City/Sedalia Kennel Club Shows and received his first two points towards his conformation title.
Friday, under Judge Jean Fournier, he won the AmBred class and went on to win Reserve Winners’ Dog. He also had his photo taken while in the ring for the local paper, the Sedalia Democrat (see photo)
Saturday, the really BIG day, he not only won his AmBred class, but got his points as Winners’ Dog from Judge James Noe.  In addition, he also was awarded Best of Opposite Sex in the BOB class, and this was over a specials dog.  How exciting!
Sunday, the final day, he won the AmBred class under Judge James Frederiksen, but unfortunately could not progress any further.
As always, handled to perfection by Julia Foster-Hess.

7-6-2012 by Steve Dobbins:

Cimarron's Don't Stop Believin' won his bred by class and went on for Winner's Dog and his uncle, Ch Cimarron's I Won't Back Down won Best of Breed under judge Jean Fournier at the Jefferson City KC.

Flyer and I went to the Pooches in the Ballpark Royals-Cardinals game on Saturday.  Flyer and I got to parade around

the ballfield before the game with about 200 other pooches.  She got to meet Fredbird, and Fredbird is still alive LOL.

We were on FoxSports Midwest television video and we were one of four interview featured on the stadium

Jumbotron before the start of the seventh inning.  Flyer was very well behaved and even let the bulldog of a KC

Royals/Kansas Jayhawks (yecht) live. Flyer caught the eyes of many people with her costume consisting of a

Cardinals jersey, a Cardinals doggy cap, sunglasses, and even a “rally squirrel” on her back.  I bet she had her picture taken a lot more than any of the other dogs there that day.  She was a star that day and was probably photographed close to 100 times.

Hi all,
This very, very, very AM in the morning, my little girl, Ch Cimarron's Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin', aka the little sh1t or Charmin, gave birth to six "turdibles", as I call them. One tiny little girl was sandwiched between five normal sized boys. This 'tiny dancer' is going to have a difficult time getting to the chow line and is going to need a lot of help.

Charmin also needs to learn what time zone I am in because this 1:00 AM to 6:30 AM stuff is not going to cut it.
